Responding to the comment about whether their township has a plan - My understanding is that Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Pittsfield Township have each done some climate planning - Ann Arbor Township is currently exploring developing a climate plan. Washtenaw County is interested in collaborating with all the local units in the county to help support climate planning.

What are the top priorities of others, outside of climate?
Brian Chambers (he/him)
01:07:55
Not for this call, but getting more people into homeownership, gets them out of constantly increasing rents. They will have a natural interest in updating their properties, they way landlords would not. There are many 'intersectional' tie-ins. No one is a panacea, of course.
Brian Chambers (he/him)
01:13:48
BTW - Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America has mortgages for those below the area median household income, zero down payment, zero closing costs, no credit score check, and reduced interest rates, even below 1% with grants. $50 Billion in funds available through 2027.
Matthew Naud (RRS - he/him/his)
01:14:43
Brian - have you shared this with the County OCED staff?
